Password Monitor notifies a user if any of their online passwords have been compromised or exposed on the Dark Web, by periodically scanning a user’s stored passwords and checking these against known third-party data breaches.
Should a breach be detected, users are then able to take prompt action to update their passwords.
The feature aims to prevent data breaches and keeps users safe beyond the first line of defence, and thanks to pioneering cryptography technology, the new feature prevents Microsoft and any third parties from learning a user’s password. Clever, eh?
