The feature can make your PowerPoint presentations more accessible, and can be especially useful for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or may need speech translated to another language.

Please note: to achieve the best results, Microsoft recommend using a headset microphone when you speak.

To enable subtitles, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation and select the Slide Show
  2. In the Slide Show tab, select Subtitle Settings.
  3. On the Spoken Language dropdown, choose what language you will be speaking in and Subtitle Language for what language you want displayed on screen.
  4. Use Subtitle Settings to place the text in your desired position. They can be docked or overlaid at the top or bottom of the slide.
